The West Asia Institute for Medical Legal Research and Studies participates in the “Expo” exhibition for medical tourism in Istanbul

Istanbul – The head of the West Asian Institute for Legal and Medical Studies and Research, Dr. Lawyer Nasser Abu Rumman, participated in the first edition of the Medical Tourism Expo in Istanbul, organized and supervised by the “Turkish and Arab Joint Cooperation Association” (TÜRRAP), and with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce.

Abu Rumman, a human rights activist specializing in medical liability, held several meetings on the sidelines of the conference, in order to network and communicate with international institutions and institutes concerned with medical and legal affairs.

Abu Rumman stated that arrangements are currently being made to hold a specialized international conference in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in mid-2024 AD on medical liability and compensation, in the presence of American, European, and Asian organizations specialized in this regard.

In a related context, a research paper was recently published on behalf of the institute entitled: “The legal basis for the doctor’s contractual responsibility for the actions of others” in the Journal of Legal, Ethical and Regulatory Issues, prepared by researchers Dr. Nasser Zakaria Abu Rumman and Dr. Basil Fawzi Al-Tahat.

It is worth noting that the West Asia Institute is the first regional organization in the West Asia region specializing in medical legal affairs.
