Cairo Egyptian University is the only of the world's top 500 universities

Cairo Egyptian University is the only 500 of the world’s top universities in the Shanghai Chinese ranking for 2020 out of 30 thousand universities. We outperform Boston College, Michigan Technical, Paris, 12, New England, Tokyo Medical Sciences and Liverpool John Morris.

Cairo University was ranked among the top 500 universities worldwide in the Shanghai Chinese ranking for 2020, according to a report published yesterday, 15 August, which ranks among the top 1000 of 30 thousand universities globally, and Cairo University has also achieved more advanced positions in other world rankings.

The Shanghai 2020 ranking showed that Cairo University is the only Egyptian university in the top 500 world universities, with Alexandria University in the category from 701 to 800, Ain Shams and Mansoura in the category from 801 to 900, and Zagaziq University in the category from 900 to 1000.

The Shanghai ranking report also showed the university’s superiority over a number of world-renowned European, American and Japanese universities, such as Boston College, Michigan Technical Universities, Paris 12, New England, Tokyo Medical Sciences, Liverpool John Morris, Carlton, Hiroshima, Mississippi, Northern Arizona, Oklahoma, Thomas verson, Bremen, Kent and Kent.

The University of Cairo also equates with major global universities such as: Marburg, Ben Gurion, Florida International, Georgia State, Hanover Medical, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Stockholm Economics, Texas Technology, Tokyo Science, Canterbury, York, West Virginia and Kansas State.

The University’s presence and retention of its place in the top 500 of the world in the Shanghai Chinese ranking is an important achievement, according to the report of a large number of international universities graduating from this category over the last 10 years.

China’s Shanghai ranking is one of the strongest global rankings for universities and publishes the ranking of high-end universities annually since 2003 based on a transparent methodology. The classification is based on objective and measurable criteria, which include the volume and quality of scientific research published in international scientific journals, as well as the quality of the faculty, the level of academic performance, and the level and excellence of graduates
